According to the cell theory, the statement that living organisms are not created spontaneously is correct.
This is because according to the cell theory all living things are made up of cells however, new cells can only be created from old ones. Thus, it implies that living organisms are not created spontaneously.
The concept that new cells arise from pre-existing cells was given by Rudolf Virchow, who summed up the cell theory in a statement -Omnis cellula e cellula which means all cells comes from cells.
