Describe & correct the error, given the functions f(x)=3x-5 & g(x)=1/3-4/3x

15 equation is

g(-3)=1/3-4/3(3)

=1/3-4

=-3 2/3

my answer i came up with is g(x)=1/3-(4/3)x

g(-3)=1/3-4/3(-3)

=1/3+4

=13/3 or 4 1/3

16 is f(1)=1/3-4/3(1)=

1/3-4/3=

-3/3=

-1

i came up with f(x)=3x-5

f(1)=3*1-5

=3-5

=-2

please help me or tell me if im correct

Verified Answer :

"my answer i came up with is g(x)=1/3-(4/3)x
g(-3)=1/3-4/3(-3)
=1/3+4
=13/3 or 4 1/3"        [you are correct]

"i came up with f(x)=3x-5
f(1)=3*1-5
=3-5
=-2"                        [you are correct]

Answer:

#15 is 13/3

#16 is -2

Step-by-step explanation:

you are right, because, in equation #15 you are evaluating your function g(x) at -3, then:

\(g(x)=1/3-4/3*(x) g(-3)=1/3-4/3(-3)\\g(-3)=1/3-(-12)/(3)\\g(-3)=3/9+12/3\\g(-3)=1/3+4x\\g(-3)=13/3\)

remember that minus by minus (-1)*(-1) is possitive (+)

for the #16 you can solve:

\(f(x)=3x-5\\f(1)=3(1)-5\\f(1)=3-5\\f(1)=-2\)

i hope it helps you.
