The topic that is too broad of a topic for a personal narrative is option C. The family vacation when we survived a shipwreck. This is the topic that is too broad because there are two things that you need to describe further: what happened and where is the vacation, and the event when the shipwreck happened and how they survived.

The correct answer is C. The family vacation when we survived a shipwreck

Explanation:

In writing, a topic is considered as broad if too many details and information are necessary to develop the topic. For example, in the case of a personal narrative in which the author aims at explaining a personal experience the topic "The family vacation when we survived a shipwreck" is too broad because this requires the writer to describe multiple events and usually personal narratives are shorter and focus on one specific moment or event rather than multiple events or a long story with many elements.
