Correct answer choice is :

D) Salt and Gold

Explanation:

Ghana, Mali, and Songhai were three of the largest European African selling lands. Starting with Ghana as early as 300 c.e. and ending with the victory of the Songhai by Morocco in the 16th-century, they ruled the trade of gold, salt, and commodities in North Africa and sub-Saharan Africa. Arab intellectuals and traders as far away as Baghdad stared at the property of these African nations.
