change it into improper fraction to make it easier or just solve it as is.
=\(3\frac{5}{8}\)-\(2\frac{7}{8}\)
=\(\frac{29}{8}\)-\(\frac{23}{8}\)
=\(\frac{6}{8}\)=\(\frac{3}{4}\)
OR
=\(3 \frac{5}{8}\)-\(2 \frac{7}{8}\)
divide it to two parts:
3-2=1 and \(\frac{5}{8}\)-\(\frac{7}{8}\)=\(\frac{-2}{8}\)
\(1\frac{-2}{8}\)⇒(1×8-2=6)
=\(\frac{6}{8}\)=\(\frac{3}{4}\)
