It claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack that killed many
people including Americans and remains unresolved. The country that Iraq invaded was
Kuwait. Iraq wanted to take the oil
fields of that country and it led to the First Gulf War where a coalition of U.S. as well
European and Middle Eastern forces defeated Iraq.
