Writing Conclusions to a Narrative Jamie's Garden Jennifer Jones Jamie wanted to plant a garden in her backyard. She wanted to grow her own vegetables to eat and plant pretty flowers. Jamie shared her idea with her mom and explained her plan. They went out to the home improvement store and bought some flower and vegetable seeds. They bought a watering bucket, a shovel, and gardening gloves. When they got back home, they went into the backyard and Jamie picked where she wanted her garden to be. She searched for a spot that would get lots of sunlight; plants need a lot of sun to grow. When she picked out a spot, they put their gloves on and her mom helped her dig holes in the ground with the shovel. After Jamie and her mom dug all the holes, Jamie went around and put a flower seed in one hole and a vegetable seed in another. She went back and forth between flower and vegetable. When Jamie was all done putting the seeds in the holes, she covered up the hole with dirt. This would protect the seeds from frost or animals. Then she filled up her watering bucket with water and poured water all over the seeds. With the sun’s help, Jamie hoped her garden would be pretty. She tended her garden every day and took care of the plants and vegetables that she had planted. Which best expresses the tone of the story?
