Here is the rest since it was to long you got to look at the first two questions I posted basically this is part three and a half because it was long

Audience

Think of your audience as someone who may be considering the same career you’ve chosen. For example, imagine the ‘real talk’ a seasoned teacher may give a college student considering a K-12 education major. The good, the bad, and the unbelievable. The whole truth and nothing but the truth. Your essay or multimodal composition should seek to give your imagined audience (someone considering this career, too) advice and guidance, so it is important that you explain as thoroughly as you can about your ideas of your best and worst day on the job as a/an ____________________.

Documentation

Use at least one quote from the readings for this project or Career Coach.

  • Written essays should be in MLA format
  • Include in-text citations
  • Add a Works Cited page
  • Refer to:
  • D2: MLA Documentation
  • D1.14: Synthesis (for integrating sources effectively)

Option B: Career Process Multimodal Composition or Essay

Topic: An Example of a Person who is doing the Job He/She was Meant to do

For this assignment, you will create either:

  • A 500-word essay, or
  • A multimodal composition

Purpose

Use a person you know to illustrate the idea that some people are excelling at the job they are doing because it fits them so well. Think of a person you have observed who is clearly suited for the job he or she is in. Using them as your example, illustrate why you think that person is doing such a great job in that role.

Be creative. Choose a solid candidate. It does not have to be someone you know personally. However, it can NOT be a celebrity. For example, it could be a barista at the Starbucks you frequent who seems to know everybody’s name and order. It could be a mechanic you know who seems to know what’s wrong with a car just by listening to it. It could be someone you know who is using his or her natural talent as a career, like a graphic artist or musician or photographer. Think about who has stood out to you as someone who seems happy doing the job he or she has, and seems genuinely fulfilled in that role, regardless of prestige or paycheck.

What to Include

  • Your introduction will introduce the person and contain a thesis statement with traits that make that person a good example of someone who does his or her job well. You may also write a thesis statement that previews your overall point of how observing this person will impact decisions about choosing your future career.

-Each body paragraph (two or three) should describe a particular trait that makes someone good at that particular job, like having a positive attitude, working well with other people, or going above and beyond what is expected. Then describe or give an example of the way that person fulfills that role. Describe in detail specific tasks that person does and how he or she does them. Include a physical description of the person so that readers can picture them. Show, don’t just tell.

-In the conclusion, be sure to tie this person’s example to your own goals in life. What does observing this person make you want to keep in mind as you determine your own career path?

Audience

Your audience is fellow students who are also exploring career options. Your goal is to help them by sharing an example of someone is in the right career field.
