In my opinion, I would choose to live in the Inca civilization. The Incas settled in the Andes

mountain region (page 4). The Incas developed roads and quipu, which were essential for

communicating with tribes in their civilization. Quipu is a relay system of runners to bring

messages encoded on knotted lengths of string (page 4). The Incas seemed to be the most

advanced civiliziation out of the three because they taxed, used quipu, and had fertile land

for agriculture (page 4). Having fertile land makes a big impact on life. Being able to provide

food and sustain you and your family keeps you alive. They conquered neighboring

civilizations and taxed them which funded their government to be sustainable (page 4). The

Incas taxed the groups they conquered by giving them labor which could consist of military

service, agriculture work, and construction work (page 4). The Incas also had remarkable

engineering. The Machu Picha is an example of the Incas engineering and today it still stands

even after the Spanish conguests (page 4).
