Diary Assignment - Romeo and Juliet

English I-Evaluation Grade

You will need to choose one character from the play you would like to focus on during the

course of this assignment. You will be creating a diary for this character throughout the

course of the play, along with a cover page that reflects that character.

Diary Requirements:

You will be creating a minimum of FIVE diary entries for the chosen character. You will need

to be creative and think outside of the box when writing. It is going to be written from THEIR

PERSPECTIVE, and must be a minimum of 250 words. (Copy and paste in a doc. Highlight

all. Click Tools, Word Count) Each entry must contain at least TWO quotes from the play to

support your ideas being expressed. The diary entry should exemplify character

development, plot development, conflict, suspense, foreshadowing, or any of the other

literary elements we have discussed.

Character names, the pronoun I, and the beginning of sentences get capitalized. Students

who are almost sophomores and expect an A or B capitalize.
